Is God just way too restrictive?
In the Bible, Kings and rulers ironically feel that way. ’Let us tear’ God’s chains and bonds they protest in Psalm 2 desiring complete autonomy.
Seems we’re not the only ones who feel this way.
God has a response to this, He laughs, and has a message for the haters. It’s not what we might expect though.
The last line says, ‘blessed are all who take refuge in Him’. The image of restriction is countered by a picture of refuge.
Lord, may I stop fighting, and find there safety instead.
